In the Works
My first novel, The Wingbreaker, is currently being queried. Two rejections, one manuscript request!
Book two, The Prince of Pearls is in the drafting stage. 60k in!
I have two weeks left in the Writer's Digest University's Copyediting Certification course and am taking work as a freelance editor. Currently booking for April and beyond!
Between the Pages Podcast
I also co-host a podcast that's live streamed on TikTok called Between The Pages .
Shawn Amick, our host, interviews authors and aspiring authors, audiobook narrators and editors Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7-9pm CST. On Wednesdays he and I chat craft and discuss the most recent questions from the community. We call it our "Workshop Wednesday."
Alongside co-hosting I try to make myself useful behind the scenes in a variety of ways, especially for the community of people who have banded around us. We are always happy to meet new writers, and welcome anyone with interest to pop in the chat and say hello!
Things that are . . . not writing
I'm a homeschooling mom of two and an avid flower grower. I love The Legend of Zelda (Windwaker is my favorite, the music!!!), Stardew Valley (are we shocked that I marry Elliot every time?), Fable, Monster Hunter, Elder Scrolls of any kind (but, c'mon, Oblivion is obviously my top choice), and ARK and I have a tentative relationship.
The purpose of this website is to establish myself as a brand, to create a hub for all the projects I'm a part of, and to use the potential energy that's building as I'm in this time of transition. I look forward to publishing more blogs as I go through my editing course and have more meaningful conversations with great authors. See you next time!
